“Today is OK” is an ode to life, with a twist. The song paints a picture of a beautiful day, the sun came out and the people are enjoying it. The chorus showcases hope but there is also the realization that we don’t really have a choice but to live our life here (in this society). The main character of the Album feels unhappy where he is, and wants to go away but doesn’t really know where to. The rather heavy key of the song is produced in an uplifting way with dreamy guitars & synths and a determined drum loop, amplifying this sensation of hope.
